Rasheed Jamal – Mount Olympus feat. The Resistance

I know you guys get tired of hearing me sweat Rasheed Jamal, Mic Capes and Glenn Waco, but too bad. The three young men are pretty damn dope. This latest track off of Rasheed’s upcoming album Sankofa is proof that I have every reason to sweat the trio known as The Resistance. I literally squealed a few weeks ago when Rasheed sent me a preview. The track is fiery and will pull SOMETHING out of you.

If you haven’t heard it yet, you’re missing out. Mic commands you to attention as the first up and Glenn Waco delivers a flawless third verse, perfectly sandwiching Rasheed’s righteous Arkansas-bred bars. I love artists who come from out of town and add flavor to Portland hip-hop. Especially when they’re known for putting on for the town. Rasheed may be a transplant, but he linked with two of the best in town and stays repping for the Northwest. Take a listen for yourself.
